Lester Bruno (you can find his site off of benchrest.com) has some Weaver 36x scopes for sale, NIB, for about $310. This is a VERY good price, and he's a reputable dealer.

Why did I post this here? A 36x scope will DRASTICALLY help in load development. If I'm working a load up, I'll do it with a 36x or 40x scope, and then bolt on the "normal" scope and sight it in for hunting. One benefit of using the high powered scope is that you don't always have to keep walking back and forth from the target...

You can get a BSA Platinum for about $175, and a Tasco for about $150 or so, but this is a really good deal on the Weavers...
