I am still shooting the old 174 FMJBT used in US service rifle match ammunition and those bullets shoot just fine in a K31.

If you are serious about match shooting try the 168 match bullets first. Then the 175 SMK bullets.

Those should close to your ladder settings. I am not looking at my K31, but my recollection the lowest setting is 100 meters. Maybe 200.

The older M1911's, they don't go lower than 300 meters. (At least for my rifle, never had a carbine)

I do recommend buying a taller front sight, put it on, and file it to a good 200 yard zero with the ladder sight at 200. It is in meters but that will be close enough for "government work".
