I haven't thought this thru completely, but I wonder with the recent 15 years or so interest in 6.5mm calibers for target shooting, has anybody thought to resurrect the 6.5 Mannlicher Schoenauer cartridge for this sort of shooting?

If not, why not?

I figure once the time comes for me, I'll try to assemble a 6.5x47 Lapua, just cuz it's cool, but I wonder why nobody has attempted the venerable M/S round?
