Scorch got this after I already was posting, so I'll note that .243 with some of the higher ballistic coefficient bullets has some pretty incredible long range performance. Easily reaches 3000 fps, and shoots very flat, carries lots of energy downrange. I was considering having my m1a built for it, but chickened out because of the .30 bullet availability. Generally about 500 fps slower, though
