and The USSC has spoken, is national registration now O.K.?

Heard on "National Propaganda Radio", and read in NY Times on line, the above has rejected NRA suit against FBI'S "audit log", that is their maintaining a record of data obtained on individuals, approved for firearms purchase, via vaunted Brady Law Background Check. This finding notwithstanding prohibition of "record keeping" in Brady Law.

Will this ruling quickly lead to the creation of a national, centralized sysytem of FIREARMS AND FIREARMS PURCHASER/OWNERS REGISTRATION? Only time will tell, but from where the writer sits, I would not be real surprised to see such imposition, again notwithstanding the fact that The Congress has repeatedly rejected the idea, and the fact that existing federal, law also says no to the idea.

One might conclude, on ther basis of this ruling, that no matter what is writtren in the statute, that via the guise of "rule making" federal agencies can do anything they like. Seems as if this bodes very ill for the rights and prerogeratives of law abiding citizens, gun powners or otherwise.

Of course, at least in theory, The Congress maintains control of government agencies, through The Power of The Purse. Unfortunately, Congress has shown itself more than a little reticent about using this power, in the face of bureaucratic encrochment evident in this case.

As to where this leaves the citizenry, be damned if I know.
