Of those two guns the SP 101 is FAR superior. My wife still owns and shoots one of the first ones made and it is still as solid as they day we got it. And as said the trigger pull can be tweaked (by a good smith) until you are happy with it. Don't get too hung up on getting a very light trigger pull on these guns, it's not necessary unless you are doing precision bullseye work or the shooter has issues with hand strength, in which case the SP 101 (or any DA revolver may not be the best choice.)
