Maybe you could find a place to rent the 75 Compact and form your own opinion.

I have one and its OK. Its not great, but not awful either, just OK.

Like Pilot, if I were to carry it DA/SA, it'd be carried at half cock.

Maybe I am challenged, but I can't seem to keep the sights aligned through, and follow through, the long reach heavy DA haul. Arthritis happens.

Mine does have the ledge on the thumb safety built up by EGW. Carries OK in SA mode and the thumb safety has a more familiar '1911ish' comfy feel to it.
