I read somewhere that cutting off two or three coils from the firing pin spring will help Mosin "whack-itis". Mine had a case of this, but it got better after I made shims that fit between the sear and the reciever. Mine took a lot of shims, but the trigger pull is now about 6lbs and breaks clean, instead of 12lbs, creepy, and long. If I do my part, I can shoot 1" groups at 70-75yds!
