I don't think the antis are that way because they disdain the zombie thing. That might be a convenient excuse to someone looking for a reason, but it's not a valid reason.
BTW, my earlier reference to Michael Jackson was the use of the deceased to promote something trivial like Pepsi. If it will sell, some Marketing genius will do it, no matter how ludicrous.
