I used to use the Federal 9 pellet tactical load, but have gone with the Hornady 8 pellet TAP load. Low flash, very tight patterns, moderate recoil.

It patterns the best of various brands out of each of my 4 different riot guns.

Prior to me finally buying and test the TAP ammo, the Federal load was king of the hill with the Speer LEO 8 pellet close behind.

There are plenty of good loads out there. Grab a couple three boxes of a different brands and try them in your gun. Different folks will get different results from different guns. You're likely to get as many answers to "what is best" as the number of replies to this thread.
