If everything is righteous, a 1911-type pistol will dang near feed empty brass.

I used to load 5.8 grains of 231 behind a 200-grain SWC as my IPSC load. You could go down to maybe 4.5 or 5.0 grains for a lesser recoil; whatever lets the gun cycle unless you want to change to a lighter spring.

Can't help on the comparative accuracy; I never worried about super-tight groups.
