My experience is rather limited, only a couple hundred rounds through a friend's pt1911, but I really liked the gun. It functioned perfectly and has a lot more features than other 1911's I've seen in its price range. I will also say that my friend had to send it back to Taurus right after buying it new though. I don't remember specifically but I believe it was something wrong with the extractor.
