New Mossy 500, normal wear?

Hey all, I'm new to the forum, and pretty new to shotguns in general. I picked up a Mossberg Tactical Pursuader, and I have a question hopefully someone can shed some light on.

I was playing with it yesterday, getting familiar with it...loading dummy rounds in and out, ect...and I noticed that the slide action bars (i think that is what they are called) seem pretty warn, in other words...parts of them are no longer black, but now a greyish. The side on the same side as the action release is esp worse.

Also, I should add then when the forend is completely foreword is when they are most noticeable. With the forend completely rearward, the wear and marks are not visible.

This is a brand new gun? What gives? It does not seem to effect the action or anything, but.....it's alittle disheartening to see such wear on a brand new gun. Thoughts?

Thanks all!
