Dirty Ol' Bullseye

I tryed alliant bullseye years ago, a nice accurate powder but very dirty.
You Tried Alliant Bullseye. Bullseye burns very cleanly in my Glocks at recommend charges with Jacket or plated bullets. Some people like to say Bullseye is dirty - invariablely they are using cast bullets and light loads. This causes incomplete combustion in ANY powder. Want dirty? Try Blue Dot in cast bullet handgun loads. Same reason: incomplete combustion at the low pressure range. Blue Dot is intended for HEAVY shotshell loads with 650 grains of lead shot in a 26" barrel.

I won't shoot bare lead bullets. The smoke is toxic, and revolvers spray it all over your hands out of the gap between the cylinder and barrel. I use plated bullets and prefer heavy ones. Bullseye burns very cleanly with these. Personally, I would not call Bullseye a dirty powder, because the factors causing incomplete combustion are not related to powder formulation. Rather, it is caused by bullet and load choice, which can make any powder seem dirty.
