It was my understanding these dies put a combination taper and roll crimp on the bullet. This die only does a slight roll crimp. There is no evidence whatsoever of any taper crimp being applied. If I were to take a flared case and run it through the die, there would be a roll crimp applied, but no taper at all. It would look like any other roll crimped case with a light to moderater roll crimp. Thanks again for the help, this one has me stumped.As Weshoot II said there should be a taper leading to the roll crimp and I can find no evidence of this being the case.
