I carried in Louisiana nearly every time work led me there (part of my territory for some time), checked it on a plane many times and they only lost my luggage twice - the drowsy-eyed airline employees really perk up when they ask for the contents of the lost baggage and your answer is A PISTOL. They also perk up when you check-in an AR15 for the trip home
I don't I never got pulled over so never had any po-po contact anywhere in the state but I'd rather take my chances with corrupt police than some of the people walking down the street in some areas of NOLA.
