Ok finally got through to remington. I told them I wanted to return my 597 which is 8 months old and under warranty. You guessed it, they said warranty does not apply as it is a ammo problem. There was a time when the name Remington ment something. Those days are gone. I will never buy any remington product again, not ammo, firearm, Nada. I'm seriously considering taking a carbide saw to the several Remingtons I own including the XCR in 375 I bought last year.
