My first handgun was a Ruger Super Blackhawk, kind of a mistake, but after buying a used Ruger single-six .22 as a second gun, I eventually got the hang of pistol shooting.
Today I have a S&W model 29 and I seldom shoot full power loads through it. Mostly loads that sort of are between .44 special and .44 magnum.

That's the cool thing about these revolvers. You aren't married to full power magnum loads for the gun to cycle, making them extremely versitile.
