Not if the NRA has anything to say about it.
They have emphatically stated they will not support any CC legislation that does not include the whole state.
I don't know how tuned in you are to what is going on in the state legislature but there was a CC bill in play this session that
might have had a chance of passing. It was opposed by the NRA because it did not preempt home rule units, which requires a super majority that is presently not attainable. The NRA's opposition killed it. The revelation of the NRA's opposition to the bill caused a minor revolt against the NRA, that even now is still festering.
Maybe some day when King Daley and about 100 of his cronies are in the federal pen together.
