It's not just ft lbs - a hard cast Dixie IXL DGS .730" 870 grain hard cast at 1,200 fps "only" develops 2,783 ft lbs out of a 20" barrel but there is no better or more devestating current production slug available anywhere on the earth. The Brenneke 3" Black magic will hit 3,000 ft lbs plus but it ain't no Dixie and it is not hard cast. It ain't all about ft lbs.
