Not true. Depends on the state law(s) where you're carrying. Anyone in Az who can legally own a firearm can also legally conceal it...no permit required except in certain places because of technicalities in the laws.

Good advice for some, but I bet I have far more experience open carrying than you do. I carry however fits the occasion, and open carry is a legal and viable option in my state. Folks here just don't pay it much, if any attention.
If a person's situational awareness is naturally low, then I'd advise concealing. In 30 years, I've yet to have a single problem, and only two people near me who ever mentioned it. One wondered what I was carrying, and the other was a slimy attorney who asked me if I was scared of something. My reply? Nope; not a thing.
