remmys are better but I like the colt open top because when you cock it you see exactly if if it rotated to firing position properly. To check a good colt gun, see if loading plunger drops smooth I mean liquid smooth into the chamber at 6 oclock when cocked at 12--firing position. You know that but newbies might not. I've sent a lot of guns back to distributor if they don't meet that test.
