My first hand picked Nagant

The BBT dropped it off today and I have to say that once I cleaned it up, I was...well...less than awestruck. Actually, kind of disappointed.

On the other hand, if this is a best-of-ten, I'd hate to see the other nine. Thanks SOG, I guess.

I don't know, maybe my expectations were too high.



That's a big ol' rust spot that goes under the grip halfway down the frame. It looks like somebody tried to scrape it off. It matches the rust that's under the right side grip.



To be fair, the numbers do all match. Was I expecting too much for $107 (with shipping) and 70 years old? Or is there something special about this revolver that I don't understand? SOG describes these as as being in "excellent condition".
