I haven't ran into this problem yet with my two 1911's (Remington and S&W). Having only one mag sucks but try having a brand such as s&w give you 2 garbage mags that you would never use ever. The two that came with my Remington are great, no issue whatsoever, but I could just run the ones s&w threw in the box with my more expensive gun with my car then throw them in a fire and my only regret would be that I didn't do it sooner. Did kimber at least give you a good mag?
