The XDs doesn't need the cocking indicator that other xd's have. The trigger on the XDs stays back unless it cocked. So if the trigger forward it is cocked. Other model xd's trigger will return forward when not cocked.

As for the powder river kit: it is a set of 5 springs you change in the gun with the end result of a considerable reduction in trigger pull weight.
