If barrel length is what makes a rifle "tactical", then I guess this qualifies:
M1898 Krag rifle, which has had the original barrel replaced with an 18" one. It was a skosh under two bills, so I took a chance on it.
(I'm going to clean the bolt up well with some solvent and examine the front lug under a strong lens for cracks. )
Worst comes to worst, it'll make a pretty wall-hanger.
