i have seen areas like you are describing,torn up. but it seemed to me maybe turkeys scratching or deer pawing. looking for acorns,etc. but now it sounds like it may be hogs. i guess its a good thing i didn't se any of them while small game hunting

. all i had then was high and low 7.5 shot.
