I'd like to own a 1911 .45 someday, and I'm interested in learning more about the 1911 .45. I see mention of a 1911A1, Commander, etc... I even went to 1911.org but I still confused (not an uncommon state of mind for me...

). Can you guys out there "clue me in"?
