Yes, I totally agree with you.

I'm not saying that I would have drawn or fired because of his brandishing... not at all. It was just completely uncalled for.

In the end, yes I definitely agree that retreat/ending the conflict is the better option, if possible. I said what I needed to say, and that was all. I probably would have been more polite about it, if he hadn't been laughing.

In the end, I'm glad that I got away. I do wonder what may have happened if we had been stuck in traffic or something. But that's what sparked my interest in self-protection, and I've learned a great deal in the past couple of months - with much more to go! My CCW class is June 6. Should be a good time.
