Actually, in real life, I have killed more with a 22 than any other round with the exception of my shotgun on wild birds. I killed critters way more scary than most folks ever will be
with a 22. The round is designed for deep penetration and high speed.
I prefer a 45 but in a pinch my ruger will do fine.
