My son and I went through this just last year NewhunterMS so don't feel alone, there are a ton of 700's to choose from. He settled on the least expensive model, an ADL in 7mm Remington Mag that he paid $400 for. His thinking is that he can add to it as he gets the money and create the gun he wants. Stock, the gun shoots 1" groups at 100 yards consistantly and he shot his first buck with it this year so he is happy of course.
