Mine was a Glenfield model 60 because it was about 10 dollars cheaper than the exact same gun with the Marlin name on it.
With all these model 60's as first semi-autos and likely first guns, I'm surprised there is so much debate when someone asks what is a good first gun. I always answer a model 60 even though they aren't 34 dollars any more; they're more like a hundred and 34 dollars.
