I have a Savage 10FP HS Precision in .308Win. I love it. I only have about 100 rounds through it right now (awaiting reloading press kit). With Lithuanian 7.62NATO surplus (147gr FMJ 2800fps approx) I can shoot 1.5-2" at 100yd. With anything in the 168gr weight class I can get sub MOA or close (I'm a decent shot, but have my bad days too). My accutrigger came out of the box adjusted to 2lb, no creep, no overtravel.

Never shot a HOWA, so I can't comment on them. I wholeheartedly suggest Savage. Good luck!
