Nothing wrong with nor they ever have a bad reputaion compared to anyone else. As a matter of fact their quality equated to Uberti. Cimarron carried them for quite a spell. They also made repro transition OpenTops in .38 Colt and .45 Long Colt also in 1872 Open Top and Richards.
You get good ones and some that need more work than others sooner sometimes. ASM are pretty smooth Revs.

I know Lee3370 has had a good amount of them and had no complaints.
I think I'm gonna find me one... Lee an ASM 58' Rem or 1860 Colt Army?
