OK, I'll play along and offer reasons for my variance from the "S&W fan club". My vote is for the Monson made Dan Wesson in the caliber of your choosing. Get it in the "pistol pak" and you have a choice of barrel length to fit your occassion. Versatile? Yep, with the 2", 4", 6", or 8" barrels that come with the pistol pak, choose your barrel length. Accurate? Yep, check out what the accuracy shooters/record holders use. Strong? Yep, every bit as strong as the Rugers (Blackhawk or Redhawk). Cost? About the same or less than any of the S&Ws or Rugers. Used cost? Hard to tell, very few get re-sold.

Yeah, I'd say the Dan Wesson takes it by a landslide.
