I shoot in steel plate matches three or four times a year, and I just like going to the range. Generally, there's 300-400 rounds of birdshot hanging around, 150 or so buckshot, and 50-100 slugs. Just the other day I bought 75 Federal slugs and 75 low recoil Rio 00B rounds. Sounds like fun.
