Kimber's rep is spotty where ever you go. They're customers that have no problems with theirs then there are customers that have a multitude of problems with theirs. I don't like that and i just couldn't stomach paying the premium kimber ask when they run MIM parts and have a plastic MSH. That bothers me.

I'm not sure on taurus never really looked into them. If i was considering a factory 1911 it would be DW, springfield, colt, and STI. JMO YMMV.
