Hello. In my experience, the tightest groups have been obtained with jacketed bullets. I've been able to get "good" groups with certain cast and plated bullet handloads, but the tightest have been with jacketed. I load both, using the cast/plated loads for defensive practice where rapid fire and shorter distances are involved. They are a bit cheaper as well. Best.
