6mm-.250 has been kind of an accepted wildcat for some years. There are a number of different minor variations as people tweaked shoulder angle and position for fine adjustment in capacity. At one time you could get the 40X in 6mm Remington International which was one of those minor variations, but they have gone to the 6mm BR instead.
These days you are much more likely to see things like 6mm BR, 6mm PPC, 6mm X, and 6mm XC which are of similar capacity and capability.
There are still a few folks shooting what they call 6mm-.22-250 (Because there is a lot more .22-250 brass than .250 Savage to work from and a lot of the shooters are too young to have ever seen a .250-3000.)

Any of the above are pretty much a custom proposition, you are not going to find a factory Remington, Ruger, or Savage chambered for any of them.
