I've used the 60-gr. Hornady for varmints; 3/8", 5-shot groups are common. I use 40 grains of 3031, but you should start at 38.0 and work up.

I've killed about 20 or so deer with the 85-gr. Sierra HPBT; none over 150 yards. The twist in my barrel doesn't seem to stabilize the 100-grain Noslers, so I stay with the 85s. 37.5 grains of 3031, but start at 35.5 and work up.

Or go to the Sierra or Hornady loading manuals...And others, of course...

Any old brass seems to work equally well. I'm currently using Winchester primers, but only because of availability. The gun doesn't seem to care.

Hope this helps, Art
