I'm late in replying to this, but I've been at the farm being sure my deer are fat for this upcoming rifle opener.

Cubed deer meat (southerners don't say, "venison" ) marinated in Italian dressing, lightly dusted with flour, salt and peppered to taste, fried in butter, until the juices turn a light pink--then pull it. Serve it up with some mashed taters, gravy, cathead biscuits, and sweet tea.

That's my favorite meal...

Squirrel
Rabbit
Turtle
Froglegs
Gator Tail

I didn't see anyone add fish meat to their list so here's mine, in order from favorite to least favorite.

Freshwater...
Trout
Catfish (frying size - about a pound a piece)
Crappie NOT "crop"pie ;o)
Bass
Bream

Saltwater...
I've tried shark, snapper, grouper, sea bass, sea trout, flounder, cod, and a variety of others, but not enough to reach a conclusion on...


Feathers...
Chicken..... my favorite so far.
Quail
Turkey
Emu

I need to broaden my horizons on our feathered friends.

By the way, y'all can have my share of the "Menudo" of both varieties!
