Honestly all of these are pretty good rifles. Savage is a damn good rifle. Since you're new to bolts you may wanna go cheap and get the axis just in case you don't like being behind the glass all that much. But then again a cheap rifle could lead you to hate it soooo..... I'd go with the model 10s in 308. Fine round for both the woods and the range.
