Colt 6920 for around $1100 is the best compare that I can think of. No-nonsense AR that is built to be thrown down your driveway and function flawlessly. There are others out there but they will cost you.

I'd also look at Spike's Tactical and BCM. Both are equally as solid, reliable and rugged.
