I have no interest in hunting ...let alone eating a squirrel ... " its a Tree Rat" ...
and I've only hunted rabbits a few times ....but a 20ga or 28ga is plenty ...with a load of 6's .../and the few times I've gone, it was always with a 20ga or 28ga O/U Browning with a 30" barrel ( same guns I shoot for clays )....and we were hunting with a buddy's dogs...
It was fun / and tasty ....a nice crispy skin, over a bed of fried potatoes ...and a little pan gravy ...and a nice cabernet ... hard to beat ( courtesy of my buddy's wife / who is quite a chef ) ...
