I have a 72 a rifle that my dad gave me years ago which he later put a scope on. I wanted to remount the original peep sight but one screw was missing. The local gunsmith tells me the thread is not 40 or 48 tpi. Does anyone know what thread it would be if not one of these two? I have the knurled screw that locks the elevation but I'm missing the one that the sight pivots on.
