I own both a 77/22 and a 10/22 and the only noticeable difference between them is that the 77/22 mags are flatter on the bottom. I have used all of my factory 10/22 mags in my 77/22 without any problems. I have however had a problem using my 50 round mag in my 77/22, I think that the 77/22 doesn't like the plastic tops. One of my friends has a 25 round mag that has a metal top like the factory mags and it works fine. I hope that this info was of some help to you.
