This reminds me of the thread going on right now about what to do after you fire in self defense. Regardless of the fact that these charges are outrageous, it goes to show that the police can and will take all of your firearms in a case like this. The DA still does have to decide if he wants to press charges, but it goes to show you even when you do the right thing that sometimes you will end up in trouble too.
