My FNP40 was the first handgun I ever owned, now I have 2. 2500 rounds through one, only issue is Federal American Eagle FMJ 165gr causes fail to feed, maybe 10 times in 500 rounds. I have shot 8-10 other brands in 165 or 180gr, both FMJ and hollow point and have had zero issues with everything else. Suspect American Eagle ammo is loaded a little light. 2nd gun has around 300 rounds, maybe 500. Zero issues though I have not used AE ammo in it.
These will be my EDC and home defense pistols for the foreseeable future. I wanted to have the same gun for both so that if ever the need arises, it will not matter which gun I pick up, operation will be the same.
They're great guns, imo.
