Having a C&R in NJ is IMO useless. You can not legally accept firearms from out of state without going through a FFL. You can transfer (as a citizen) long guns only by using the from from the state police. No registration, but if (not that it ever happens) someone questions you about how you acquired that long gun you need to be able to show that form signed by buyer and seller along with your FID.
