I have shot the sister cartridge 260, which should be identical in recoil... I would say it is somewhat more than a 243 or 257 Roberts, and similar to a 25-06... I think I could shoot 50 rounds at a session with no sore shoulder. I have never shot a 7mm-08, but I bet it would be pretty similar to the 6.5 Creedmore / 260... They all shoot a 140 grain pill at about the same velocity.
For certain, it is less than a 308 or 270 Win. I find 308 in an 8 - 9 lb rifle to be pretty easy to shoot
